I've spent the last 25 years, roughly, trying just about every product , routine & technique imaginable.
For starters, the basics...(you probably already know)..
Eat more than you burn off.
You'll have to experiment and see how many calories it takes to maintain your weight...then, add to it. This can vary wildly, depending on your circumstances, workout intensity, job requirements, etc...
For example,...if I followed a previous poster's advice of eating 3000 calories a day, I'd lose about 2 - 3 lbs a week.
I have to eat 4000 a day, just to maintain....I aim for 5000 to gain weight.
High protein,a good amount of carbs, and plenty of healthy fats....lots of water, too.
There are many good gainers out there. Contrary to what some uninformed folks say, they DO work...as long as you use them as intended...as a supplement...
They are IN ADDITION to your regular meal plans....they aren't intended to take the place of a regular meal.
BSN, VPX, cytosport all make really good products..
I'm currently using myogenix after shock critical mass...packed with tons of good stuff.
If cost is a concern, muscle milk gainer gives you the best bang for your buck.
It takes a crazy type of dedication to pack on quality weight.... I started out at 115 lbs...years later, I'm about 195.
Lastly, the gomad thing is, without question , the stupidest idea I've come across in a long time.
It started out as a joke among bodybuilders to tell new guys that was their trick to getting big.
Some fool ran with it and convinced other fools that it's a good idea.
It's horrible.
Absolutely shitty nutrition specs....low protein, not enough carbs, crappy dairy fats.
Don't waste your time.
If you managed to drink a gallon in a day, you'd add roughly eight pounds on.....
You'd also be nauseous, bloated, and pretty much useless if you wanted to actually hit the weights.
And then you'd excrete it and not have anything to show for it.
Don't be a fool.
There is no super easy trick...
It takes effort, discipline,& some education.
Feel free to pm me if you have any questions...
Good luck!
